The beginning of a story - blow-ups of magic lantern slides, two as found, one edited. Together these partly modified and altered images form a triptychon, embedding the process of thinking of reality and triggering imagination. The images date back to the turn to the 20th century - chimney stacks after a disaster in Japan turn out to look like victory columns on an archaeological site, ferns in an unknown tropical landscape are followed by the image of a man veiled in cloth in Morocco as he seems to elevate above ground.
